Enhancing Quality of Life Campaign Becomes a Reality

Over 100 people attended the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home Enhancing Quality of Life Major Donor Reception on Wednesday, September 30th. Those in attendance toured the new wing of the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home while enjoying refreshments. Remarks were given by Jewish Federation of Omaha Chief Executive Officer, Bob Goldberg, Jewish Federation of Omaha Board Chair, Ron Feldman, Ron and Chris Blumkin, Marty Ricks, and Chris Ulven, Executive Director of the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home.

Ulven praised the support of the community and thanked all those who worked to make this project possible.

“This is the next chapter in a long continuum of care,” he said “one shaped by listening, by thoughtful planning, and by a commitment to make sure the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home remains a place where people receive exceptional care and feel known, respected, and at home.”

Thanks to the generous support of our community, the Jewish Federation of Omaha was able to achieve their goal of enhancing the quality of life for residents at the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home.

The new wing adds 32 rooms to the existing building, allowing RBJH to transition to nearly all single-occupancy resident rooms. This change will enhance the comfort, privacy, and quality of life for all RBJH residents.

The expansion also introduces the new Alan J. Levine Rehabilitation Center, an area dedicated exclusively to short-term support, recovery and care. These state-of-the-art facilities are a part of the broader experience families trust RBJH to provide; an environment where residents are not only cared for, but truly known and given opportunities to continue living meaningful and fulfilling lives.
