Adolf Eichmann: The Long Road to Justice

The Institute for Holocaust Education (IHE) will present Malkin in My Hands, an exhibition featuring the artwork of Peter Malkin, the Mossad agent who helped capture Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann. This marks the first time the exhibition has been presented in the Heartland.

Presented in partnership with the nonprofit Artists Giving Back and generously sponsored by philanthropist and art collector, Michael Staenberg, the exhibition will feature reproductions of Malkin’s original artwork. The exhibit will be on display November 1–25 at the Eisenberg Gallery at the Staenberg Omaha JCC.  Gallery hours can be found here.

Malkin was part of the Israeli team that captured Eichmann in Argentina in 1960. Eichmann was one of the key organizers of the Nazi deportation and murder of European Jews during the Holocaust. Through Malkin’s artwork, the exhibition offers a unique perspective on the man behind one of the most significant captures and the pursuit of justice following the Holocaust.

The community is invited to an informative presentation on November 11th. Holocaust scholar Prof. Dr. Gerald J. Steinacher will examine Eichmann’s life and crimes, his escape from Europe, life in Argentina, and his eventual capture and trial in Israel. Registration is required.
