Whether you’re a film enthusiast, someone who enjoys the latest Jewish-themed films, or someone looking for an entertaining night out, the Omaha Jewish Film Festival promises to provide you with a fulfilling cinematic experience and free popcorn.

The past 22 Film Festivals have brought high quality, enjoyable, and often thought-provoking Jewish films to the Omaha community. The 23rd Annual Omaha Jewish Film Festival will be no exception. With community input for film selections and community hosts to introduce and discuss the films post screening, four evenings of Jewish-themed and inspired films are being presented. You are invited to be a part of the excitement.

A prelude to this year’s Omaha Jewish Film Festival

“Torn: The Israel-Palestine Poster War on NYC Streets”
November 2  |  5:00 pm

Torn: The Israel-Palestine Poster War on NYC Streets will be screened at the Staenberg Omaha Jewish Community Center on November 2 at 5:00 pm. The film highlights the conflict of the posting and ripping down of hostage posters in New York City in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks in Israel.

The evening will include a discussion with Nim Shapira – Director, Producer, & Writer along with Nitzan Mintz & Dede BandAid, artists and creators of hostage posters.

Hosted by Mary-Beth & Bruce Muskin. Docudrama. At the urging of her granddaughter, the two travel to Poland where the grandmother attempts to rescue her property lost during WWII. As the story unfolds, the property takes second place to another pursuit. Trailer
