DESCRIPTION:The Eisenberg Gallery at the J is honored to present Israeli artist\, Sam Griffin\, and his recent body of work Aftermath. The exhibit will be on display July 30th through August 25th. The community is invited to meet the artist through a series of special events\, including free workshops with the artist. \nIn these workshop\, Sam will demonstrate his mark-making and erasure technique\, layering paper with vibrant colors or dark shading\, then erasing to create striking light-dark contrasts. Sam will also share how he applied this method in his current exhibition\, Aftermath\, offering deeper insight and a closer connection to his artistic process. Participants will engage hands-on\, experimenting with the technique under Sam’s guidance\, drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience. \nOpen to ages 8 – adult. In January\, President Isaac Herzog awarded her the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor\, Israel’s highest civilian honor. \nPrior to serving as Board Chair at the Jewish Federation of Greater LA\, Julie served as their General Campaign Chair\, Chair of their Ensuring the Jewish Future Strategic Initiative\, and Chair of the Federation’s Sylvia Weisz Women’s Philanthropy. She also received the Ruby Award from National Women’s Philanthropy. \nA graduate of the University of Pennsylvania\, Julie serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and is also on Penn Hillel’s National Board of Governors. \nJulie continues to lead JFNA’s LiveSecure Initiative and other JFNA initiatives crucial to the flourishing of Jewish life in North America.

After college he returned to Iowa and started a construction company\, eventually branching into other businesses. In 1986\, Mike and Nancy moved to Omaha and formed a new company\, McCarthy Group\, LLC.\, an investment holding company that partners with managers to acquire and grow businesses. McCarthy Group is currently invested in more than forty businesses\, a portfolio that includes several Omaha companies – Elections Systems & Software\, America’s largest election services business\, Scooters\, a coffee franchise with more than 800 stores and Bridges Trust\, a multi-generational family office management company.
