SUMMARY:November Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Showing in the Eisenberg Gallery at the J from November 1-25 \nMain Gallery: Malkin in My Hands: A collection of works by Peter Malkin\nReception: 2:00 p.m. on Sunday\, November 8 – registration required\nLecture: 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday\, November 11 – registration required \nThe Institute for Holocaust Education (IHE) will present Malkin in My Hands\, an exhibition featuring the artwork of Peter Malkin\, the Mossad agent who helped capture Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann. This marks the first time the exhibition has been presented in the Heartland. \nPresented in partnership with the nonprofit Artists Giving Back and generously sponsored by philanthropist and art collector\, Michael Staenberg\, the exhibition will feature reproductions of Malkin’s original artwork. The exhibit will be on display November 1–25 at the Eisenberg Gallery at the Staenberg Omaha JCC.  Gallery hours can be found here. \nMalkin was part of the Israeli team that captured Eichmann in Argentina in 1960. SUMMARY:Omaha Beit Midrash - Rabbi Mendel Katzman
DESCRIPTION:2026-2027 Theme: Belonging\nNovember 18\nRabbi Mendel Katzman\, Chabad of Nebraska\n \nFor centuries\, the Beit Midrash (“house of study”) has been the beating heart of Jewish life: a place to question\, debate\, and wrestle with ideas as a community. That tradition continues in Omaha’s Jewish community. \nEach month\, a different clergy member from our community synagogues leads a session on a topic that matters\, from Torah to ethics to history. Because our clergy spans different denominations\, every session offers a new perspective\, and you’ll leave with new insight and connections. \nThis is Jewish learning at its most authentic: communal\, challenging\, and open to everyone. \nMonthly classes will be held in person: \n\n3rd Wednesday\, 12:00-1:00pm\nStaenberg Omaha JCC\nLight kosher lunch served at every session\n\nRegister HERE. Registration Required.\nDrop in for one session or join us monthly. However you show up\, you belong here. \nStaenberg Omaha JCC\nExact location provided at check in \nAll guests must check in at the front desk upon arrival. The Jewish Federation of Omaha Security Team reserves the right to inspect all items brought onto the Staenberg Kooper Fellman Campus.
