Allan Murow, Event Chair for this year's Men's Major Donor event, and 2019 Annual Campaign Chairs Pam & Bruce Friedlander, Sophie Ambrose & Jimmy Friedlander, Andee, Anthony, Jack & Joe Scioli invite the Men's Major Donors to this year's annual event. The evening includes hors d'oevres and cocktails. Guest speaker is Mohammad AL Samawi. Mohammad was born in Sana'a, Yemen and grew up a practicing Muslim. He has authored more than 30 studies and reports about Yeman and has reported extensively on Sudan, including Darfur. Most recently he served as the Regional Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Region at the international Center for Religion and Diplomacy.

Mohammad serves on the board of the Yemen Peace Project which advocates for peaceful U.S. policies towards Yemen. He works with the Muslim Jewish Solidarity committee, a nonprofit that focuses on grassroots social action to build relationships between Jews and Muslims.

Mohammad is best known for his 2018 book, The Fox Hunt: A Refugee's Memoir of Coming to America, in which he shares his personal story of love, war, and hope, as well as his transformation from a traditionalist to an interfaith activist.
