JEWISH BOOK MONTH
Historically Jewish Book Month, organized nationally by the Jewish Book
Council, means a lovely weekday luncheon hosted by the Jewish
Federation in the month leading up to Hanukkah with a national author
traveling in to share their story. This year, due mostly to the
surprising flexibility offered by COVID, we’re mixing things up a bit
and hope to expand our reach with several added events.
David PAge: Food americana
Author Event
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7 | 1PM
David Page, two-time Emmy-winning television producer and creator of the ground-breaking Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, wrote "Food Americana" as a highly entertaining mix of food culture, pop culture, nostalgia, incredible personalities, and everything new on the American plate.
He is excited to share more about his book with Omaha via Zoom on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. – planned as a hybrid event. Join from the comfort of your home OR join in the company of others, with a special in-person “watch party” in the Noshery at the Staenberg Omaha JCC. Either way, we encourage you to check out Page’s book to get the full experience.
Copies of “Food Americana” are available for purchase
HERE leading up to the event. One copy is also available to check out from the Kripke Jewish Federation Library.
