With the 2012 U.S. Olympic Swim Team Trials now being held at the CenturyLink Center, aquatics is center stage in Omaha, water sports are currently center stage at the Jewish Community Center, too. Especially since swimmers can finish their laps and then dive into the food choices currently available at the new Snack Shack at the JCC outdoor pool.

“The Snack Shack is a terrific addition to our Campus, and lets swimmers and loungers enjoy even more fun time with family and friends,” said Mike Aparo of Star Catering. “We offer various sandwiches, fresh vegetable and fruit salads, plus yogurt, fountain drinks, slushies, bottled waters, candy bars, pretzels, ice cream bars, popsicles and other frozen treats, all at affordable prices. And hot dogs are available every day but Saturday. Bring your appetite, sun block and come check us out soon.”

According to Aparo, the Snack Shack is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 11: a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Snack Shack is under the supervision of the Va’ad Haskashrut of Omaha.
