Lady Lions Select Basketball
The JCC basketball programs mission is to teach the fundamentals of
basketball in a manner that promotes sportsmanship, fair play, and
teamwork. Coaches will maintain a safe and positive environment so each
player can reach their potential while having fun. Players will be set
up for success to improve and polish their skills with proper offense
and defense fundamentals.
3rd - 8th Grade Girls
Practice and tournaments begin in April. Each team will participate in tournaments in Omaha and neighboring states, all within a few hours drive. While most tournaments are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, one or two may include Thursday and/or Friday.

Fees are determined by the cost of the entire season. The cost includes weekly practices, tournament fees, and skill clinics. Uniform is not included - additional uniform fee for new players.

skill development clinics
May 3 - 31, 2017
Led by JCC coaches, clinics are a great way to compliment team practices and give players an opportunity to enhance their development for competition. While clinics are optional, it is strongly encouraged that players take advantage of this additional practice time.
Players are invited to attend our scheduled open gym time where they will have the ability to practice their skills with their peers. A JCC Coach will supervise, but the open gym time is not structured.
fall/winter select season:
Each team will participate in a Fall and Winter league through an Omaha
area organization. Games will begin in October. Tournament and games
will be scheduled in the Omaha area and played on Saturdays and Sundays
during the season.

Wednesdays | 6:00-7:30 pm
All practices will be led by the team's Head Coach in a fun and
structured environment. Coaches will instruct on the fundamentals of the
game and skill development. As the season progresses, Coaches will
evaluate and provide feedback to the players. Practices are mandatory. A parent meeting will be held 30 minutes before practice starts on beginning practice date.
Tuesdays | 5:30-7:30 pm
Players are invited to attend our scheduled open gym time where they
will have the ability to practice their skills with their peers. A JCC
Coach will supervise, but the open gym time is not structured. It is
designed for the players to interact with their peers and have FUN.
Our belief is that individuals improve by being taught fundamental
skills and concepts that will make them better players. We stress team
play and learning the proper offensive and defensive fundamentals in a
positive environment. Teams will play in leagues and tournaments that
will challenge them. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where kids can
learn basketball; compete and develop a passion and excitement to play
the game the right way.
All JCC select head coaches are highly qualified instructors whose main
objective is to create a positive environment and teach the fundamentals
of basketball and how to play the game. All of our coaches are
professionals. The JCC is very particular about who we have representing
our program and most importantly, working with your child. Coaches are
directed by the Athletic Director and the Basketball Coordinator. The
