The J Challenge to Train will consist of three indoor, time-based mini triathlons. JCC Members can sign up for all events, or just the areas they want to work on. Register online or by calling Laura Wine at 334-6419. Once registered, reserve your time at Member Services.

35 Minute Triathlon - Sunday, March 11

Swim 10 minutes / Bike 15 minutes / Run 10 minutes

60 Minute Triathlon - Sunday, April 29

Swim 15 minutes / Bike 25 minutes / Run 20 minutes
cost: $18 / code: 06-401

75 Minute Triathlon - Sunday, May 20

Swim 20 minutes / Bike 30 minutes / Run 25 minutes

Andrew Gannon is a former college track athlete. Andrew is experienced in
coaching and training runners of all ability levels, from first-time 5K’rs to Boston Marathon Qualifiers. He has a B.S. degree in Health and Human Performance and has a vast background in both Aquatics and Fitness.

Deb Johnson has worked at the JCC for eight years in the Aquatics Department and four years in the Fitness Center. Deb teaches spin classes and swimming lessons at the J. She has completed ten marathons, most recently the NYC Marathon, and 3 triathlons.

Jen Viehrig is an experienced marathon runner and has competed in local marathons and half-marathons for the past few years. She ran the 2009 and 2010 Boston Marathons, took second place female in the 2009 Omaha Marathon and was the first place female in the 2010 Omaha Half Marathon. Jen is an ACE and AFAA certified personal trainer and an ACE certified group exercise instructor and has been working at the JCC since 2010.
