From historical and educational exhibits to beautiful displays of local, national, and international art, the Jewish Community Center Gallery host a wide array of content. Located just next to the JCC Theater, the Gallery provides individuals an excellent opportunity to immerse themselves on culturally enriching exhibitions. Exhibits cycle through on a monthly basis, providing a constant stream of new material. The Jewish Community Center Gallery is open to the public. Admission is free.

JUNE 2-27  |  Katrina Swanson & Dar VandeVoort
Local artists Katrina Swanson and Dar VandeVoort will display paintings during the month of June.

Katrina Methot-Swanson
Katrina is a Omaha based artist that  draws her inspiration from realistic and impressionist masters. She uses that inspiration to paint Omaha's Old Market and surrounding areas that have the mood and impression she wants to portray. Katrina also likes to paint repeating shapes, with vibrant colors and textures that she observes in chairs, bicycles and other objects.

Dar Vande Voort
Dar works in her home studio in Council Bluffs, Iowa and at the Hot Shops Art Center studio in Omaha, Nebraska. She is an artist of many colors. She has the trained touch of a portrait artist, the vision of an impressionist painter, and the curiosity of a child. She works in a range of media, including pastel ,acrylic, oil, collage, and mixed media.

JULY  |  Midwest Fiber Art Alliance

The Midwest Fiber Art Alliance presents a beautiful exhibit of fiber and textile pieces designed around a specially chosen theme. The public is invited to the opening reception on Sunday, July 7th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.


AUGUST  |  Photos by Hadar Nachman
The exhibit will feature photos by Hadar Nachman. Hadar lived all of her life in the West Bank of Israel before moving to Omaha to teach at Friedel. The photos on display will showcase a glimpse inside Israel, with a focus on Jewish life in West Bank.
