Performing Arts Academy

Members & Non Members,  Ages 5-7

Join JCC Musical Theater Department as we explore the world of Performing Arts. JCC Performing Arts Academy youth acting classes provide learning and fun for kids ages 5-7! Class will be held in Dance Studio B.

Class will be broken into 3 sections:

  • Learn acting strategies through games
  • Learning a song and dance to incorporate into our final showing
  • Creating costume, sets, and props

New Instructor, Carrie Nath!
Carrie Nath is an arts educator, director and choreographer working across the nation for 30 years. She has designed and implemented programming for ages 4 – adult. Her most recent choreography work includes Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins. She has worked with numerous companies including, Youth Theatre Northwest, Seattle Children’s Theater, Seattle and Washington National Opera and multiple Shakespeare companies.  She is currently working as the Choreographer for our production of Peter Pan here at the JCC and is super excited to get started with this class!

A final performance will be held Sunday, November 11th at 2:30 p.m. in the JCC Theater. Students should arrive at the regular time.
