Performing Arts Academy

Members & Non Members,  Ages 5-7

Join JCC Musical Theater Department as we explore the world of Performing Arts. JCC Performing Arts Academy youth acting classes provide learning and fun for kids ages 5-7! Class will be held in Dance Studio B.

Class will be broken into 3 sections:

  • Learn acting strategies through games
  • Learning a song and dance to incorporate into our final showing
  • Creating costume, sets, and props

Sundays, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
September 24 - November 12

Members: $100  |  Non Members: $125  |  code: 16-100

Performance will be Sunday, November 12th at 2:30 p.m. Students should arrive at the regular time of 2:00 p.m. to begin getting ready.


NEW!  Instructor: Courtney Stein
 
Courtney Stein is a local actor, choreographer, and teaching artist. Courtney has performed for the Omaha Community Playhouse, Nebraska Theatre Caravan, Blue Barn Theatre, Papillion-LaVista Community Theatre, Ralston Community Theatre and was most recently in the JCC production of “Clue”! She recently received her Masters in Dance Anthropology from the University of Roehampton in London and specializes in multicultural theatre and dance forms. Courtney has taught theatre nationally (and internationally) for over 10 years and has worked for the Young Americans, JCC, Why Arts?, Arts for All, and Arts in Motion’s Dancing Classrooms program.
