Important Credit Card Information
(5/15/16)

Because of the change in credit card technology, we know that many people are receiving new credit cards. Usually when that happens, your old card becomes obsolete. We ask that you please be sure to let the Business Office know when you receive a new credit card for any reason. We need to know that information, as the JCC incurs fees when a credit card declines. Please contact Cindy Reed, Account and Systems Specialist, at (being careful not to provide complete card information by email) or (402) 334-6452 with any new credit card updates. Thank you for helping us to keep credit card fees as low as possible so that we can keep our program costs as low as possible.

Replacement Cards Available (5/15/16)
We’d like to give a great big SHOUT OUT to all JCC members who have faithfully been bringing their access cards when entering the building! This will be especially critical, as we enter the busy summer months, in facilitating your quick and easy access to the authorized areas of our building and grounds. Our Member Services Staff is required to manually type in the names of all members without access cards and, naturally, this process does take longer than quickly scanning your card.

If you are unable to find your JCC access card, please advise the Member Services desk as soon as possible, so that the lost card can be de-activated and a new card issued. Please note that your old card will no longer give you access, as it is immediately de-activated. If you find your original card after it’s been replaced, you can return it to the Member Services desk to be recycled. You will not be able to use it to get into the building. There is a $10 charge for replacement cards.

ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP CARD INFORMATION

New Membership Cards Now Required  (09/16/15)
Starting September 16th, 2015, you will need new cards to use on the access control panels that are located at all main entrances across campus. If you do not yet have your new Membership ID card, please stop by the Member Services Desk. We will do out best to have your new card printed for you within 48 hours.

A Guide to Using the New Membership Cards  (6/28/15)
Watch Tracy in this brief video as she provides an introduction to the new access control system and how to use the new Membership ID cards. New Membership ID cards will be issued to all JCC Members, ages 7 and over. Our Member Services team is currently in the process of printing these new cards. You will be contacted when your card is ready for pick up. After you receive notification that your card is available, please stop by the Member Services desk to obtain it.

The new Membership ID cards work with the new proximity based access control system that has been installed all across the JCC campus. All exterior entrances to the JCC, as well as some interior doors, will have new access control panels installed near them. (Examples at right) To use, JCC Members only need to lightly touch their new “proxy” based Membership ID card to the access control panel to unlock the door.

New access control panels are located at all main JCC entrances across campus including:
• Member Services
• JCC Front Entrance
• South / Canteen JCC Entrance
• Link / Racquetball Hallway Door to the Upstairs
Depending on your level of Membership, your card may also access:
• JCC Health Spa
• Pennie Z. Davis Child Development Center

Your card will only grant to access to the areas of the building that you have authorization to be in and will only work during hours that the JCC is open for business. Regular business hours for the JCC are Monday though Thursday from 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., Fridays from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

With the distribution of these new cards, we would like to remind our Members that they must bring their Membership ID card with them in order to gain access into the facility. When inside the building, they must carry their card at all times. Members are not allowed to use their Membership ID card to let anyone, other than themselves, into the facility.

Please remember that the new “proxy” cards are embedded with a tiny microchip. Because of this, you should not bend, puncture, or damage your card in any way. Any lost cards should be reported to the Member Services Desk right away so that it can be “deactivated” and a new card can be issued. There will be a $10 charge for any replacement cards that are issued due to damage or loss.

Please take time to review the additional information that we've posted on our website. If you have any questions, please e-mail membership@jccomaha.org. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to bring you the finest facility possible.

New Membership Card Q&A  (6/7/15)
The installation of the new security and access control system is moving ahead. As we continue with this process, we've compiled a list of questions & answers to address some of the common inquiries we've been receiving. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to bring you the finest facility possible. Please stay tuned for more updates coming soon.

Q: Will everyone get a new Membership ID card?
A: Yes. Every member of the JCC, age 7 and older, will be receiving a new Membership ID card. Members MUST carry this card with them to gain access into the facility.

Q: How and when will I get my new Membership ID card?
A: If you need to get your photo updated (see below), you will receive your new card at that time. For all others, we will let you know when your new card is ready to be picked up. When you are informed that your new card is ready, you can pick it up from Member Services.

Q: Do I need to have my photo retaken for my new card?
A: JCC Members that have a recent photo (i.e. an accurate representation of their present physical likeness) on their current Membership ID card will not need to have their photo retaken. Your existing "on-file" photo will be used on your new card. If the photo on your current Membership ID card is so old that it no longer looks like you, then a new photo will need to be taken. If you are in need of a new photo, please stop by the Member Services Desk and our staff will assist you.

Q: How will the new Membership ID cards differ from the old cards?
A: Current JCC Membership ID cards have a barcode across the bottom. This barcode is scanned and thus grants access to the facility. The new Membership ID cards are proximity based. This means each card contains a tiny microchip within it. With the new "proxy" cards, all you have to do to gain access into the building is touch your card to an access control panel. These panels are located at the building entrances. More instructions on this process will be available soon.

Q: When will the new access control system be functional?
A: Due to the scope of this project, we don't have an exact timeline available. The new access control / security system is being implemented across the entire campus and will take a fair amount of time before all members are able to use it. We will do our best to keep all JCC Members up-to-date on our progress. Our plan is to phase in the new system starting at the Pennie Z. Davis Child Development Center and then continuing on to the JCC Health Spa, JCC Front and Canteen Entrances, and then the JCC Fitness Center / Member Services Entrance.

Q: What should I do if I lose or damage my new proxy card?

A: Because the new proxy based Membership ID cards are embedded with a micro-chip, the card could become damaged and unusable if bent, cut, or punctured with key-chain holes. Please refrain from altering your card in any way. Also, it is EXTREMELY important that any lost cards be reported to Member Services as soon as possible. All lost cards will be deactivated in our system and a new replacement card will be issued. There will be a $10 fee for every replacement card issued, regardless of reasoning why (damage, loss, etc). Payment is taken at the Member Services desk. Cash, check, or credit (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) are all accepted forms of payment.

Q: What else do I need to know?
A: We will do our best to keep all JCC Members up-to-date on any developments regarding the implementation of the new access control system. Please note that all JCC Members need to have their Membership ID cards with them in order to gain access into the building. Until you receive your new proxy card, please continue to bring your current barcode Membership ID with you when you visit. If you plan on bringing a guest, please take a moment to review our Guest Policies and Procedures.

Work Continues on the Installation of New Access Control Panels (5/22/15)
In our ongoing efforts to bring you a top-caliber facility, we have been making some upgrades and improvements throughout the campus. One of the biggest undertakings is the installation of a new access control system, including an overhead speaker system and surveillance cameras.

New Entry Panel System
With this security update, we will be switching our access control system from barcode cards to chip cards. You may have seen the new "Entry Panels" (photo at right) placed at certain doors around the campus. These are still in the installation phase and are not operational with your current JCC Membership Card. Until instructed otherwise, please continue to use your current JCC Membership Card with the existing bar-code scanners that you have always used.

What is the Next Step in the System Upgrade?
The first place that the new entry panel system will be operational is the Pennie Z. Davis Child Development Center. All parents of CDC children and CDC summer campers will be notified when and how they are to receive their new membership cards. CDC parents may need to update their old membership id photos in order to have their new membership card made. Once implemented, these new membership cards will be needed to access the CDC in order to drop off and pick up children. All CDC parents should be on the lookout for information regarding when and where they will be able to update their photo and obtain their new membership cards.

What if I am a JCC Member, But Not a CDC Parent?
All current JCC membership cards (with the bar-code) will begin to be phased out over the next couple of months as the new entry panel system becomes operational across the campus.  Eventually, all JCC members will need a NEW, chip based, Membership Access Card to gain entry into the building.  Stay-tuned for details of how and when you can update your membership id photo and receive a new membership card.
