Kids Campaign - Sharing is Caring

The Kids Campaign is an exciting initiative for children to learn about Tzedakah. Pick up a free Tzedakah can from the Federation and teach the Jewish tradition of giving to your children at home.

The 2017 Kids’ Campaign Chairs are Stephanie, Matthew, Shalom, Judah and Eliana Beneda; Crystal, Aryeh, Nina and Josie Epstein; Lisa, Chuck, Makayla and Kori Lucoff; Jamie, Troy, Ainsley, Aiden and Audrey Meyerson; Melissa, Matt, Joshua, Evan and Lea Shapiro and Sonia, Alan, Adria and Asher Tipp.

“It’s important to show my children that giving to this community matters,” Co-Chair Lisa Lucoff said. “We have to be involved fiscally, but also volunteer our time.”

The Kids' Campaign will conclude on December 19th from 5-7pm at the JCC Hanukkah Extravaganza located in the JCC Auditorium.

There is no cost to attend the Hanukkah Extravaganza and RSVPs are not necessary. During the celebration, which comes with all the bells and whistles like games, arts and crafts and a jumpy castle, the Kids’ Campaign Tzedakah will be collected.

Friedel Jewish Academy will sell latkes during the evening. Kids’ meals are only $5 and include two latkes with applesauce and sour cream, two donut holes and a juice box.  Adult meals will have three latkes with applesauce and sour cream, two donut holes and and a bottle of water. To-go orders are $15 for ten latkes, applesauce and sour cream included. Donuts are for sale as well. Pre-orders are appreciated, and can be placed by contacting friedelacademy@fjaomaha.com by Dec. 14 at the latest.
